There are two ways to do it. Strolling close-up magic works the room during a cocktail hour, reception or trade show — five to ten minutes per group, no stage, and nothing you have to build your schedule around. The Comedy, Magic & Mentalism Show is a 45-minute set for a seated audience: sleight of hand, mind-reading and clean comedy.
Either way the job is the same — get people engaged early, and give them something to talk about afterwards. That is close to how clients describe it: the highlight of the evening, loud gasps and cheers across the room, employees who cannot stop talking about it the next day.

Since 1988, David Farr has specialized in interactive magic and comedy for corporate audiences, including Best Buy, the Minnesota Twins, the Minnesota Vikings, 3M, General Mills, Wells Fargo, American Express, Target and Emerson.
Corporate rooms are most of what he does, so the usual problems are already solved: a set that lands with a 14-year-old and an 85-year-old in the same room, material nobody’s grandmother would object to, and an act that needs almost nothing from you. He arrives early, sets up himself, and the entertainment stops being something you have to manage.
