Magicians from all over the United States came to St. Louis Park (suburb of Minneapolis) to learn about the amazing history of magic and magicians. It was really inspiring to learn about famous magicians from Minneapolis and also famous magicians and illusionists who have toured through the Twin Cities of Minneapolis St. Paul. I was fascinated to learn that we have such a strong history of magic here in Minneapolis.
During one of the presentations they listed every famous magician who ever performed at the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis, all the way back to the 1920’s. The only ones I’ve been able to be present at were Michael Carbonaro, David Blaine, David Copperfield and Harry Blackstone Jr. Some other magicians and illusionists you maybe haven’t heard of is Dante, Bancroft the Magician, Bruno Warnecke and Newmann the Great.
I’m looking forward to diving more into the history of magicians in Minneapolis on this blog. I really had no idea how much impact magicians from the Twin Cities have had on the magic industry. Some other well known magicians from Minneapolis include Suzanne, Derek Hughes, David Stahl and Hondo the Magician.
